A little about me:
Focused on strategy and collaboration, I’m an extremely detail and goal-oriented producer of live and virtual events and experiences that drive revenue, retention, and growth. I’m a leader who provides the dedication, expertise, and compassion to bring any vision to life.
As the Director of Special Events, I am responsible for the strategy and production of all fundraising special events for The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center in New York City. I produce The Center’s annual Women’s Event gala, Center Dinner gala, Fashion Centered gala, Garden Party, 3-day Cycle for the Cause bike ride, and other additional events for donors, sponsors and clients of The Center. Prior to this, I served as the Associate Membership Officer for Engagement at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, where I planned and executed The Met’s membership benefits, receptions, previews and special events for all major exhibitions and the Museum’s permanent collection. I served as the TEDx Community Coordinator at TED HQ here in NYC after spending many years individually organizing TEDx conferences in Washington, D.C. and San Diego, California. Before my time at TED and following my graduation from The George Washington University in D.C., I solo-backpacked around the world for a year and visited more than 40 countries.
Following my 365 Days of Thank You project, I started grate|full in the midst of the pandemic to express my gratitude to those in my life. grate|full is finishing soon as I close out “100 Notes of Gratitude” written by others to people in their lives. See more on this here.
Throughout 2022, I managed the guest list, door process and seating production for various shows at Sony Hall with NYC nightlife fixture Susanne Bartsch.
I served on the Board for the New York Ramblers Soccer Club, the first LGBT soccer club in the world, as the Director of Fundraising, where I managed and secured all financial sponsorships and assisted with the annual Ramblers Scholarship, an annual award that supports undergraduate student athletes of all sports who are members or allies of the LGBTQIA2S+ community.
Also in 2022, I was an Executive Producer of the short film LOVE, BARBARA, a personal exploration of the love that inspired the trailblazing work of late lesbian experimental filmmaker & artist, Barbara Hammer, as told by her partner of over thirty years, Florrie Burke.
When I’m not working or planning up my next project, you can find me playing soccer, exploring bookstores and coffee shops, thinking up puns, or spending time with my partner and 5-year-old Chiweenie.
