.060 Cassie Connors
It’s tough to put into words the feeling of joy I would get when I’d see Cassie at the start of a new day while working at The Met. She simply provided a level of comfort and compassion that was greatly needed to get through a day’s work. Calm and refreshing, Cassie is exactly the kind of person you hope to work alongside with, and developing a true friendship with her outside of work was and still is the true bonus.
Cassie and I spent nearly every lunch together for over 2 years. I was able to witness her truly beautiful personality, one that stems from kindness and an open mind. She’s absolutely hilarious, from her quick wit and facial expressions to her contagious laugh that always put me in a good mood. She’s super smart too, always looking to find a more efficient solution to the problem at hand. I also adore her willingness to learn and openness to new things. She’s just a bubbly, fun, friendly and goofy person who quickly became my closest confidante, friend and dare I say… work wife! :)
Cassie, thank you for being such a star - bright with your brain and your beauty. Thank you for always making me feel better, for calming me down when I needed it, and for just being such a uniquely good human being. Thank you for all of our hysterical experiences, from our daily lunch convos to our countless events together. Thank you for your unwavering care and respect that you exude to everyone that you meet. Thank you for always laughing at my silly and dumb jokes. I truly could not have made it through those years without you, and I’m just so grateful to have you as my friend. Thank you for your fabulous dance moves, our trips to Madewell, for supporting my savings account dump at Dean and Deluca, and for always being game to walk a hundred miles to get a bagel.
The world is very lucky to have you in it, and I’m especially grateful to have you in mine. Thank you for being you.
