When Kim and I started working together at The Met, I remember feeling a strong sense of relief. She brings with her an incredible competence that is both inspiring and refreshing, and she leads her life with such poise and grace. Her willingness to learn and better herself was present with every hour of every day, and no task or project was either too small or too difficult.

As time went on, I really got to see how Kim flourished as a colleague, but also as a mentor and helper for all of those around her. She never hesitated to teach and assist new staff with any problem, and she would do so with a remarkable kindness, patience and compassion that in turn inspired me and many others. In short, Kim brought her caring and respectful self to work every single day, and I, along with so many others, noticed. She is sweet, ridiculously quick and smart, and a true pleasure to have worked alongside with. With the brief but impactful moments we’ve had outside of work, Kim is so clearly a devoted friend with a wonderful personality, fantastic sense of humor, and of course, has a strong love for dogs (especially Bubz).

Kim, thank you very much for being such a thoughtful person. Every morning when I would come into work and you were already at your desk saying “good morning” was a joyful refresher and boost that I needed and came to look forward to. Thank you for being that bright spot in the office and for always being game for anything the world threw at you. Thank you for your contagious positive energy and for your big brain and heart. I’m so grateful we got to cross paths for those years and am even more grateful that we get to stay in each others lives now and in the future. Thank you, as always, for being you.
