.085 Ryan Kincaid
Amidst a very loud (and boozy) brunch in Hell’s Kitchen where we first met, Ryan still managed to pierce through with his unending curiosity and kindness. We have a friendship that started that because of him knowing my boyfriend, but in the last few years we’ve developed it into our own, which brings me so much joy. Ryan is extremely outgoing, incredibly fun to be around, and often has me laughing with his quick remarks. He’s generally just an inviting person, welcoming you as you are, always.
Some of my favorite memories of Ryan are when we’ve been at House of Yes together, meaning I was there looking okay, and Ryan was there looking incredible. Ryan has such a vibrant and wonderful sense of style and confidence that radiates off of him. He allows you to be proud of who you are because of his pride and care for himself. That vibe is something hard to come by, and it’s why I appreciate being around him so much. He combines that with his super-charismatic personality and ability to listen intently to you, and only you, even when there’s a million things going on. Ryan checks in on you when you need it most, and it’s one of so many ways that he’s a true friend.
Ryan, thank you very much for being so sweet and friendly to me from the very start. Thank you for always being a joy to see and for such a fabulous nights out in NYC, from the HOY nights to holiday parties to rooftop soirees. Thank you for being so honest and dignified with your approach in life and for being such a smart and loyal friend. I’m so grateful for us crossing paths and becoming friends, and I loved seeing you just a couple months ago at the park. Thank you, Ryan, for being you.
