.104 Brad Snyder

Brad and I weren’t supposed to meet the day that we did. He subbed in to interview me when another colleague had to switch, and in doing so, became one of my first impressions of the The Center. When I left that interview, I thought to myself, “if everyone here is just half as honest, compassionate, wise, clear and efficient as Brad seems to be, then this would be a wonderful adventure ahead of me.” Brad really did set the stage for me and gave me such a warm and inviting welcome into my future team. Ask anyone who works with him and this will come as no surprise.

Brad continually stands out to me because of his unwavering focus and unassuming kindness toward those in his life. He’s sturdy in his morals and stands up for what he believes in and knows to be true. A ridiculously intelligent and driven person, Brad is a living, breathing example of what it means to work hard and to do good in this world. As a colleague, he’s inspiring to me with his clarity, honesty and insanely charming personality that often comes with a mixture of nerdy tidbits and data-driven facts. He’s quick to check-in, always when I need it most, and he’s got a fantastic taste in music, which many of The Center’s events have benefited from. Over the last year, I’ve been able to get to know him and hear all of my colleagues speak so highly about him, perhaps most commonly about his capacity and dedication to being a father. I’ve never met his daughter, but my goodness is she lucky to have someone as caring, devoted and unconditionally supportive as Brad as her Dad and role model.

Brad, thank you for being such a lovely presence to be around, both as a colleague and friend. Thank you for that email after my interview and for allowing me to be more honest and open about who I am/my ideas because of your setting that example. Thank you for being so helpful and smart, and thank you for always making our team laugh with your quips and get better with your ideas. Thank you for showing us what it means to constantly try and strike a balance with work and personal life and for doing so with such patience and integrity. I’m so grateful to know you and work with you and appreciate your mind and heart immensely. Thank you, Brad, for being you.
