.112 Kyle Levine
Kyle and I haven’t known each other for very long, but he’s someone that instantly struck me with his incredibly sweet charm and genuine kindness. We met through our LGBTQ soccer league, so naturally I was quickly impressed by his talent and natural abilities as an athlete on the field. Off the field, however, he’s even more impressive with his sharp mind and curiosity for every conversation. I adore the fact that I can be playing soccer with him at one moment, and speaking from the heart about our lives the next.
During the summer of 2019, he and I went with some other team members to a tournament in Chicago. Finding out that Kyle was in our Airbnb was so exciting to me. He’s such a comforting, refreshing human being who just generally is wonderful to be around. He’s honest and strong and so grounded in who he is and where he’s headed. Kyle radiates compassion and is just so kind to me and everyone he comes across. He’s genuinely interested in what you have to say and cares about listening and being there for you. Kyle is a stark reminder of the good in this world, especially in such a dumpster fire of a year.
Kyle, thank you so much for being such a highlight of that weekend in Chicago and for being such a lovely friend and teammate. Thank you for our conversations that have substance and aren’t just the surface level topics. Thank you for being such a joy to be around and for making all of us feel better just by being around you. Thank you for the recent wine and cheese (honestly yum) and thank you for just being such a delightful and truly decent person. Thank you for being you.
