When I was on that flight 5 years ago from Budapest to Athens, Hannah was the other chaotic Kiwi coming down the aisle who would end up sitting right next to me. Thank goodness she (and Nichole!) did, because it sparked one of the most incredible experiences of my life and led the way to Hannah being my friend forever. Hannah truly is a burst of powerful, friendly and hilarious energy. She is the epitome of who you want in your corner, someone who is unquestionably loyal to her friends and family through her deep care and compassion.

I feel like I instantly connected with Hannah and her wonderful sense of humor. She’s an absolute badass, rough-and-tumble kind of person who will take on any challenge and obstacle with incredible diligence and an eagerness that is unrivaled. Spending time with her is wildly fun and filled with plenty of bouts of genuine laughter. She’s capable and willing to have any conversation and her empathy and kindness allow her to connect with everyone she comes into contact with. She’s generous, sweet and just truly a hoot of a human being.

Hannah, thank you so much for the fabulous time we spent together in both Greece and New Zealand. Thank you for your hospitality and for being so adventurous. Thank you for getting us up to watch that sunrise and for always being game for the next journey. Thank you for always making me smile and laugh. I’m so grateful we met, are friends, and I can’t wait to visit when the world is somewhat back to normal! Thank you, Hannah, for being you.
