.048 Anna McGarrigle

I’m fairly certain I wouldn’t have finished college were it not for Anna. We sat next to each other every single time during our Geology course, one of my last classes ever during my senior year. I wasn’t interested in the material to say the least, and seeing Anna everyday not only made it bearable, it made it fun. Eventually I came to class just to see Anna.

She has such a friendly face, one that lights up when she sees you, and one that makes you feel comfortable and at ease. She has a joyful laugh that is so genuine it makes everything better. Anna’s presence as a whole is relaxing, making her of course a great classmate, but more importantly, a great friend. She’s there when you need her, will listen to anything you might have on your mind, and makes the situation better every time.

Anna, thank you for your friendship and for always being so loyal and compassionate. Thank you for your goofiness and being able to match your fantastic personality with your impressive intellect and perspective on the world. Thank you for getting me through that semester (truly), and thank you for introducing me to one of my favorite people ever (hi, Julian!). It makes sense that you’d be friends with someone like him, because wonderful, smart, talented people seem to flock together. Thank you for your lovely smile and thank you for just always being you.
