.157 Ethan Angelica
Around 6 years ago, Ethan and I met in the backstage area of Lisner Auditorium in Washington, DC. His upbeat energy is what I noticed first, followed by such a natural sense of curiosity and kindness mixed together. The day ahead involved a lot of moving pieces as a TEDx event was underway, but I remember thinking to myself that I wanted Ethan’s positivity in my life. He just has this innate ability, even over the phone, to make your day brighter.
Years later and here in New York City is when we would reconnect, and I’m so glad we did. Ethan is such an intelligent and driven human being, and any time we speak I feel inspired and encouraged to work harder and continue what I’m doing. We saw each other often at The Met when I worked there (he’s a Member), and it was always just a lovely pick-me-up to see him. He was commonly appreciating the art but also all of the little things around him. I really can’t state this enough — Ethan truly is just a kind, sweet person who I’m very grateful to know and be friends with.
Ethan, thank you for being such a forward-thinking friend and for always making me smile whenever I see or talk with you. Thank you for being open with me about your ideas and for your diligence at what you do; it inspires me and I’m sure others to keep going. Thank you for your fabulous sense of humor and for always making me laugh, too, whenever we chat. Thank you, Ethan, for being you.
