If you’re in the market for a jolt of joy, I’d recommend having a chat with Troy. Rhyming aside, Troy really is a ray of sunshine and he radiates good energy even through the phone. The last time I saw him in person, he was swinging from the ceiling (literally) with Company XIV, and that’s because he’s one of the most talented aerialists I’ve ever seen. Add in his compassion and voila, you have a true gem of a human.

We went to the same high school together and I remember just before graduating hearing about how wonderful he was. Fast forward to both of us being in NYC, I’ve been able to experience his kindness and shine firsthand. Troy is genuinely good for the soul. He lifts you up with his positivity and makes you feel better with his smile. He’s so open and honest and sweet and he lives his life with such color and pride. Seeing Troy perform is truly such a highlight and privilege and I’m incredibly lucky to have seen him do so twice before the pandemic struck. Even after COVID took hold, Troy continued to impress me with his generosity and talents, taking to Instagram to be a part of my birthday fundraiser and not letting the world stop his groove in general. He’s a treasure of a person and I’m grateful to have him as a friend.

Troy, thank you so much for being such a delightful human being and for making each interaction a fulfilling one. Thank you for opening the door to your incredible world for me and Alejandro to see and for literally leaving us speechless with your skills. Thank you for being so kind to me and everyone you come into contact with. Thank you, Troy, for being exactly who you are.
