.292 | to The Core, from Kim

When sitting down to write this note, it quickly became clear that I am spoiled with people to choose from, and for that in itself, I am grateful. I am lucky to have a core group of loved ones from different facets of my life, some of whom have been there forever and others whom I met only a year ago, all to be thanked for their presence in 2020 and well beyond. From my roommate who kept things in perspective every day, to the childhood friend who set up (and kept) weekly FaceTime dates, to the pair who were never afraid to be fools, to the ones who were there at every turn.

Difficult circumstances have a way of rallying people together, but as the threat abates, the drift begins. I am grateful for the foundational friendship that these people have offered, which remain as strong as ever. I know I can turn to any one of them for a laugh or a cry-fest, and I only hope to always do the same.

Thank you for sharing your hearts and minds with me for all these years. I cherish them.
