.322 | to Jacquelyn, from Andrea
Dear Jacquelyn,
It seems fitting to write you this note in the summer as these months will always bring me fond memories of you, Erin and I those many summers full of driving around in your car listening to the mix cds we made, watching Ever After at your parent's house, swimming and playing at TLTC and just having the time of our lives. You were more than just my nanny, you were the person who helped shape my personality and my approach to life.
I have vivid memories of you dancing in my backyard, singing at the top of your lungs, laughing out loud and of course, teaching Erin and I how to do the the same. You have always been 100% your true self. You do not let anyone hold back your personality and you approach every part of life with optimism and a sense of curiosity and wonder. When I was young I wanted to be exactly like you, and now that I am an adult, I constantly find myself wondering, WWJD (What Would Jacquelyn Do?) in every situation. You taught me how to find the good in every person and situation. You taught me how to truly dance like no one is watching. You taught me how to gracefully fall (both physically and emotionally with all of your injuries). You taught me how to make mix cds. You taught me how to love washing dishes. You taught Erin and I how to love each other as cousins and friends. Most importantly, you taught me how to always be 100% myself.
For these reasons and so many others, I am so grateful to have you in my life and for those summers we spent together. Thank you <3
