.305 | to Aundre Larrow, from Holly R.
One of my favorite creators is Aundre Larrow. Not only is his photography beautiful, but he creates and shares educational content for photographers and photo editors that helps create a more equitable industry. His videos, graphics, and “behind-the-scenes” content are eloquent, insightful, and truly a form of virtual mentorship. In his Equity through Editing series, Aundre breaks down his photo editing process, showing how certain editing tools affect the tonality of skin (positively or negatively influencing the accuracy of the photograph) and techniques for preserving the texture of Black hair when the image has strong shadows. These tutorials reach many photographers and photo editors, paving the way for more just media representation.
Thank you, Aundre, for your incredible work. You use your platform to educate, lift up the work of others, and inspire. Your voice is powerful and far-reaching; keep taking up space.
