.331 | to Dad, from Ashley

Thank you for being the best dad a girl could ever hope for. Truly. As a child, you taught me right from wrong, how to play hard and “do all the things” like a big girl, and even some math on our long car rides home. In my adolescent years, when both our lives were the most challenging, you provided the love and stability I needed to step confidently into adulthood. And all along the way, you were my biggest cheerleader, my best friend and my hero.

I have never once doubted your love and support, but maybe why I am deserving of it. At my highest and at my lowest, you have been at my side. Graduations, surgeries, hospital rooms, school gymnasiums, college campuses, old and new apartments- you were always there.

I admire and respect you for your loyalty, authenticity, generosity, humility, resilience and courage. I am so grateful for the bond we have; that I can still call you my best friend. I am grateful for phone calls on the way to work in the morning, your homemade margaritas, bike rides on the boardwalk, hikes in PV, evening walks with the dogs (well, Jessie), and so much more.

Thank you for being you, Dad. I love you so much <3
