.014 Lauren Lamb

If you call Lauren, it’s impossible not to smile when you first hear her voice. It’s comforting and brings about an immediate sense of ease and joy. Lauren is a powerhouse; of whit and intelligence, ideas and strategy. Years ago, we spent virtually every day and night together, working through delirious times of joy and stressful moments mounting with pressure. Lauren always kept us on track, with a steady sense of guidance and direction that was matched with her kindness and compassion.

Lauren is generally someone you just want in your corner. She’s mentally strong (and physically; she’ll kick your ass at any dance competition) and she’s determined and diligent toward her next big goal. Working together with her on TEDx/projects was inspiring to say the least. I loved every moment we shared of chaos, stress, smiles, tears, laughter, and awe.

Lauren, thank you for being such an important friend in my life, one who always looks out for me (and others) and is genuinely kind. Thank you for always making me laugh, especially when it was desperately needed, and thank you for being such a rockstar of a teammate. There are so many things that I am proud of from our time together in DC and they literally, truly, could not have come to fruition without your brain and personality. Thank you for not only inspiring me, but also for inspiring so many others on our team and beyond that. I can recall plenty of conversations with some of the younger folks on the team who would tell me to the side that you were a) scary good at your role, b) a mentor and role model, and c) “can I be on Lauren’s team again?”

Thank you for your constant positive energy and ability to make any impossible task possible. I’m beyond grateful for the ability to call you up and pick up right where we left off. I’m grateful to call you a friend and be your friend and I am so lucky to have made a small dent in the universe with you. Thank you for being you.
