.176 Josh Pavano

Josh first drew me in with how approachable he is. The definition of a gentleman and someone who goes through life with arms wide open, Josh is instantly eager and willing to chat, learn and grown himself every single day. In DC, but honestly just in life, he was such a refreshing person to be around. His genuine curiosity and good intent are contagious and I’m grateful for the year(s) that we crossed paths at GW.

As a Resident Director, Josh was incredible at listening and caring for all those who fell under his purview. He’s an incredibly honest and diligent man, always working tirelessly at whatever is on his plate. Outside of this role, Josh constantly inspired me with his entrepreneurial projects and ambitions. He never let someone saying “no” stop him and he continued to find a different solution to any problem he encountered. I can’t overstate how much I admired this tenacity, especially given that many of his projects didn’t fall in line with the classic DC political game. Josh is truly good company, talented, so intelligent, and so very kind. I’m lucky to call him a friend.

Josh, thank you so much for being such a wonderful example of being in touch with who you are and constantly trying to live life to the fullest. Thank you for never giving up on your dreams and ideas and for your strength through all of the obstacles that life throws at you. Thank you for your honesty and for being straightforward. Thank you for being so compassionate and sweet to those in your life, even when it can be tough. Thank you for being a role model to myself and so many others. Thank you for being you.
