Over 20 years ago (wow!) back in kindergarten, Dalia joined our small but mighty class about half way through the semester. This was so, so long ago and yet I have vivid memories of the moment and how Dalia was such a kind and welcoming presence. Even though we were so young, Dalia was compassionate, a wonderful listener, and still stands out in my mind.

Dalia, thank you so much for being so sweet and for always being so kind and empathetic to me. Thank you for your support, even through social media, over the years and for always bringing a smile to my face when I see your updates. Thank you for the work you’re doing as a teacher and for your patience and resilience, especially this past year. Thank you, Dalia, for being you.
