.038 Amy Tanzillo
Amy was one of the first people that I met when I started working at The Met. In fact, we sat right next to each other, and thank goodness for that. Amy is very, very smart. She’s fantastic at her job and craft, always making words, projects and initiatives work more efficiently and clearly. She’s extremely patient and capable of finding the best solution under any circumstance. On top of this, Amy is just a wonderful presence to be around. She radiates unassuming compassion and kindness from her smile and has a fabulous sense of humor.
Amy stood out to me during my time at the museum because of her ability to balance a strong work ethic (and massive work load) while also being human. She and I would exchange so many glances and quick looks and she would always entertain my ridiculous jokes and stories. We’d laugh over the silliest things and conversely, be frustrated at many of same things. Through it all, Amy was just always a calming figure for me and the entire office, always sweet, always thoughtful, and never too busy to help.
Amy, thank you so much for being (literally) next to me through most of my time at the museum. Thank you for inspiring me just by being yourself and by working hard, each and every day. Thank you for being a big reason why work was enjoyable and fun, and thank you for always listening. Thank you for helping me through my Sitecore woes and questions. Thank you for catching all of the typos and grammar mistakes that no one else did. Thank you for always being so kind and respectful to everyone you come across. Thank you for being you!
